Last year I went to see a breast augmentation OC-based specialist to discuss going in for an operation on my breasts, to increase their size. For many years I have felt incredibly self conscious about the size of my chest, and I finally decided just to take the plunge and have the surgery. When I went in for my surgery I was speaking to the nurse in the clinic, about the types of people who have this surgery, and the reasons behind why they do. During the conversation the nurse told me many awful stories about financial problems and mislead girls who underwent the surgery.
With this in mind, and given my own personal experience, I want to talk a little today about some important considerations which you must make before deciding that this surgery is for you.
Mind or Body
The biggest decision which you need to make before electing to undergo this surgery, is to first ensure that the issue which you have with your body is just that, and not an issue which exists in your mind. There are many women and men across the world with body imaging issues, which means that no amount of surgery or changes can ever really make you happy. Consider consulting a therapist for a chat before deciding on going for the op, to be sure that you are doing it for the right reasons.
Another important aspect to consider is whether or not you can afford the operation, and that you don’t need to get yourself into debt to do it. There are some sensible finance options which you could use, but you must be absolutely sure that you are going to be able to afford the monthly repayments. Make sure that you don’t spend everything that you have on this operation, after all it would be nice to take that new body out every so often so you will need some cash in the bank.
Make sure that you spend a great deal of time understanding and thinking about why you want this surgery completed. The nurse told me about some girls who have breast augmentation surgery just so that they can keep up with their friends, or because they want to impress. Remember that you are changing the anatomy of you body, possibly forever which means that you must dedicate a large amount of time in thinking about whether or not you want the surgery, and most importantly, why.
For me, these are the three most important considerations which you should make prior to having the operation. Once you have decided whether or not to undergo this surgery, you need to start thinking about any further questions which you may have. I cannot stress enough how important the decision-making stage is, and remember that there is no rush to make a decision, considering all aspects and then decide when you are ready.
